Day 2 of my trip to San Diego included a trek to LA with my cousins Sean, Kevin and their friend Bill. Sean got 4 free tickets to the show while we were visiting California. It made for a pretty interesting day. First let me say this - the traffic in and around LA is HORRIBLE, HOLY SHIT. The drive was pretty decent until about a half hour outside of LA. We left around 9am just so we wouldn’t hit the lunch traffic. That didn’t even seem to matter much. We go to Warner Brothers Studios around 12, after traffic delayed our arrival by about 45 minutes. They had people wait on the 1st floor of the parking garage for those who were there for the taping of Conan. They also gave numbers to each group based on when they arrived - we were lucky number 7. Once briefed, we left and got lunch then came back at 2. They told us we had to back by 3:00 at the latest. I ended up getting some footage of our journeys walking to/from Conan’s studio - even though it was prohibited (yeah, rebel without a cause, I know). I snapped a couple pictures of his studio without the staff noticing. Our phones were supposed to remain off but again - rebel without a cause..but with a cause. Kinda. Seth Green was one of the guests. Pretty cool even though he talked about garbage. The other 2 guests I was not familiar with but were good.
During Conans opening monologue, he started talking about how hot it is in the midwest and that those people never exercise because of the heat. Sean, Kevin and Bill started clapping since they are from Nebraska. Conan pointed at us and I SWEAR the cameras panned over because I looked up at the TVs above us and I was 99% sure that was indeed us (especially since we were virtually the only ones clapping). Conan said something along the lines of “oh we must have some people from the midwest here.” We went to watch the show on TV later and they showed a group of COMPLETELY different people (who were fat - go figure..). Completely robbed. People can at least see us in the beginning of the show. We all got really good seats - 2nd row all the way at the end right next to the Basic Cable Band. Sean was wearing a white shirt, so if you’re reading this go check it out.
After the show we were going to consider doing some sight seeing since we drove about 2 hours to get to LA but the traffic in and around LA is sooo bad (as I bitched about earlier). That pipe dream was given up. Instead we jumped ship and found a place to eat on the way home.
All in all was a pretty fun day, we were gone for about 12 hours total..for Conan. WORTH IT.
Such a cool time. Even though LA traffic is soo annoying
Cross this off of my bucket list

Awesomes
I kinda forgot I had this page, but I just wanted to say that tonight’s show turned out to be an amazing night. I think I speak for all everyone in the band that we were very skeptical about playing this show. We were the only pop-punk band among four other metal bands at this show and we pretty much didnt want to play because we thought everyone would hate us. The awesome thing is that tonights show was one of our best ever. We got to hang out with a bunch of our friends and have an awesome time and everyone at the show seemed to be into our music. Not only that, we got to talk to These Hearts (Touring band just signed to Victory Records who played with us) and they were some of the nicest people I have ever met. We also talked to other people and we have some amazing potential plans coming up. Tonight was awesome. It goes to show you that you just never know until you do it.
On our first tour we played Omaha, Nebraska at a place called THE MUSICPLEX. It was a tiny music store that sold gear for school bands and had lessons in the back. We arrived for our first tour date EVER and dragged in our huge amps into a tiny room filled with folding chairs. That’s right, people…
I just realized I haven’t updated our Tumblr in quite a while. Well fortunately, nothing too exciting has happened in the last few weeks or so. We have been busy as hell in the studio and Friday was finally our last day. We ended on a good note by spending 13 hours straight in the studio mixing our cd, but is sounds sooo good and was sooo worth it! Tomorrow, I’m sending it off to get mastered and then we can FINALLY let everyone hear it! After at least 2 years of me talking about this band and saying crazy things and never having any proof of it, I will finally get to show people what we’ve been doing! Stoked!
Stoked
I’m totally stoked on how our band is going so far. We have only played two shows but in those two shows, we’ve already learned so much and made some good friends in some really awesome bands…and made some money….duh, isn’t that why everyone does this, for money?? Not only that, we are going back into the studio in two weeks to finish our cd that sounds AMAZING. And by the way, me saying something I wrote sounds amazing is saying something because I usually hate or find something to criticize about everything that I write. We’re also continuing to learn more and more every day and I am really stoked to see where this will take us.
“I wana take it all the way, the way, the way, the way for you” - Lyrical tease from a new song?!
Studio Update 2!! In two weeks we go back to finish it all up!
Okay, we know, we know, it’s shameless self promotion. We will be using the increased traffic from our website to fund this donation. We will be sending Red Cross the check for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami.
UPDATE: We forgot to add what we’d do if someone were to “like” the post. We will combine the reblogs and likes we got from our last post along with the reblogs and likes we get from this post.
We wish we can donate more, but it’s all we can handle. If you would like to donate directly to the cause, please click here.
We will be donating 1 cent per every reblog, 1 cent for every like and 5 cents per every new follower we get. We’ll be sending the check to American Red Cross.
Email us at what@viaSQUARED.com for any questions regarding this.
EDIT! Hopefully this will get enough notes, but if it gets too many, we’d have to stop it at 50000!
